What are your venue capacities?

Can I tour the venue before booking a TERI venue?Yes. At this time, venue tours are available Monday-Friday between 9am – 4pm. Saturday tours upon request are not guaranteed due to community and private events at the property.

What are your contract requirements?Within five days of your signed venue contract, a 50% non-refundable deposit (a retainer for your date) and 100% of your refundable deposit is due. 30 days before your event date, the remaining 50% balance is due as well as your scheduled required venue review call with the Event Sales Director. Here we will review your catering and service needs. Catering and service contract and invoice are separate and are not issued until a venue contract and deposit are signed and paid. 14 days before your event date, your guest count, final diagram adjustments and full catering balance is due. We accept credit/debit cards, cash and check payments. Outside catering and bar service requires a full service clean up either through the catering company you work with, or you can book TERI Catering for bussing service and event clean up. The event space must be left as it was received, otherwise resulting in a 100% loss of your refundable deposit.

How much time do I have to set up my event?Venue bookings allow for one hour to set up and one hour to clean up. Additional time up to two hours for setup must be approved by the Event Sales Director.

What time do events end?We acknowledge San Diego County ordinance for outdoor events. All outdoor event venues close at 10:00 pm with guest departure beginning at 10:00 pm. Indoor event venues close at 11:00 pm with guest departure beginning at 11:00 pm.

Can I bring in my own vendors?Absolutely! All vendors accessing the property, even for drop offs, must provide the Event Sales Team a copy of their business’s Certificate of Insurance, listing TERI Inc. and the Campus address as an additional insured. Check out our list of approved vendors HERE. ‘Potluck’ and ‘Make Your Own’ catering not approved. Party trays from local grocery stores are approved. TERI Campus of Life is a full-service venue and requires all catering and bar service companies to remain onsite until the end of the event. If your professional and licensed caterer and bartending service is not booked for full service clean up and trash removal, you will be required to book TERI Catering for service, bartending and clean up.

Do you offer custom menus and accommodate dietary needs?Our chef loves to create custom menus and encourages you to consider it! Custom menus are to be requested by the Renter. All dietary needs can be accommodated and must be communicated to the Event Sales Team prior to 14 days before the event date.

Do you allow renters to bring in their own alcohol?Yes. We always suggest looking into Bevmo Weddings and Events for delivery. All beverages must be removed by the Renter at the end of the event. Alcoholic beverages must be served by a licensed bar service company.

Do you allow beer, liquor and wine?Mountain View Deck, Cornfeather Suite, Sunrise Suite, Garden Veranda, Common Grounds Café and Founder’s Room allows for beer and wine. Brickyard Terrace, HEP Barn, The Bornemann, Old Oak Grove Deck, Courtyard at the Bornemann, Twin Oaks Commons and Veranda, Putting Green and Central Park allow for beer, wine and liquor.

Can I bring in my own decorations?Yes. All décor must be self-sufficient and cannot be attached to the venue’s structure. Tape, command strips, nails, tacks, glitter and confetti are not approved and will result in a loss of your refundable venue deposit. All décor must be removed after the event by the Renter or the event planner.

Can I drop off event decorations and other event items before my contracted event date and time?We do not allow this as we do not have an area to store Renter event items.

Is smoking allowed anywhere on the Campus?We are a non-smoking and vaping property.

Can cars be left overnight?Overnight parking is not permitted.

Are you ADA accessible?All venues, with the exception of Sunrise Suite, are ADA accessible.

Are you pet friendly?We are pet friendly throughout our outdoor venues. Pets are not permitted inside Sunrise Suite, Cornfeather Suite, HEP Barn, The Bornemann Theatre and Twin Oaks Commons.

Do you offer wedding coordination?TERI Campus of Life does not offer wedding or event coordination. You are required to book an outside licensed and professional wedding planning company.

How long do I have for wedding setup and clean up?Saturday wedding packages allow property access at 12:00 pm the day of the contracted wedding for all venues. Monday-Friday wedding packages at Brickyard Terrace and Twin Oaks Commons and Veranda allow for setup at 2:00 pm. Monday-Friday wedding packages at Central Park allow for setup at 12:00 pm with a wedding ceremony start time of 4:00 pm or later.

Do I need wedding insurance?Yes. TERI Inc. and our Campus address must be listed as an additional insured. Requirements are listed on the venue contract.
